3rd P&B opened at Zürich central station

Valora Retail opened the third P&B Press and Book Shop at Zürich central station on Thursday 28 January. The re-designed P&B offers a comprehensive range of press titles and books in a historic setting.

The open-plan exterior of the former k kiosk press centre in the main concourse of Zürich station is an early indication that new life has been breathed into the historic premises. The special ambience in the listed shop premises is unchanged but the concept and attractive presentation are new.

As the shop is clearly laid out for customers, travellers in a hurry have no difficulty in finding their daily newspaper, lifestyle magazine, specialist magazines or a bestseller or exciting whodunnit. P&B also offers promotions at regular intervals, special offers and the latest publications. At the tills, customers have an opportunity to stock up on kiosk products like confectionery, cigarettes and tobacco and lottery tickets. For the first time, customers in Zürich can get newspapers from all over the world printed with the “print on demand” offer. “The concept is based on the symbiosis of books and press products in an attractive setting”, says Hanspeter Büchler, Valora Retail’s Business Unit Manager of Press & Book, summarising its uniqueness. “P&B invites customers to linger a while and become immersed in the world of reading and entertainment.“

The next P&B will open on Monday 1 February in the Shoppyland shopping centre in Schönbühl.
