In 2008 Valora corporate management worked out the “Valora 4 Success” strategy programme and identified four corporate objectives.
This strategy programme is based on four key initiatives – competence, growth, efficiency and people.

Competence: Valora has three sound core businesses. Its Retail division has a strong network of clearly defined outlet formats, Media enjoys close relationships with its publishers and Trade has attained a clear leadership position in branded goods trading.
Growth: Moving ahead, focusing on the future. Using our convenience store strategy to drive further growth, both in Switzerland and beyond. Reviewing the possibility of mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures is also part of this core initiative.
Efficiency: Doing the right thing and doing it well. Optimising processes, shortening itineraries, consolidating systems and calibrating them with each other. This saves time, frees up resources needed elsewhere and improves quality.
People: Whatever is at stake – be it competence, growth or efficiency – it is people that make it happen. That is why the People core initiative is centred around Valora’s employees and customers.
