With the new organization, Valora is laying the foundation to further expand its strong market position in the Foodvenience space. The company is responding to changing consumer behavior and the growing demand for freshly prepared food to-go. The new unit combines proximity to the individual markets with cross-border capabilities. Central functions are consolidated and managed across countries, while the operation and expansion of points of sale are organized in two country units: Germany together with Austria and the Netherlands, and Switzerland together with Luxembourg.

The Swiss country unit will also be led by Roger Vogt in a dual role. Responsibility for the German country unit will be assumed by Philipp Angehrn, who has been working in Valora's Retail business for six years and has been responsible for the German retail operations for the past three years. The new structure enables fast decision-making and ensures proximity to customers. At the same time, core competencies are leveraged more effectively across all formats and synergies captured more efficiently.

"With the new organization, we combine unique expertise from convenience retail and food service under one roof," says Roger Vogt, CEO Valora Retail & Food Service. "This allows us to offer our customers an even more compelling foodvenience experience – and positions us strongly for further growth across our target markets."

Sebastian Kayser, previously CEO Food Service B2C, has driven together with Roger Vogt the strategic integration of the two divisions. Following the completion of this milestone, Sebastian Kayser has decided to leave the company. "Since joining Valora Sebastian Kayser has made a significant contribution to the development of our Food Service business," says Michael Mueller, CEO Valora Group. "We sincerely thank him for his leadership and wish him all the best for his professional and personal future."
