From 1 November 2018, a levy will be charged on plastic bags and paper bags in all Valora sales outlets in Switzerland. With this measure, Valora is contributing to the reduction of waste.
From 1 November 2018, plastic bags will cost 5 cents, small paper bags 20 cents and large paper bags 30 cents at all k kiosk, Press & Books and avec retail formats. In the food service segment, Brezelkönig and Caffè Spettacolo will charge 5 cents for plastic bags and 30 cents for paper bags.
The aim of this bag levy is to help reduce waste. Valora will donate the proceeds to a good cause once a year.
